Fiberballs are made from polyester, polypropylene or acrylic fibers and are flexible, high-performance filter materials with variable porosity. It has the advantages of large volume, long working cycle and small head loss. During the filtration process, it is affected by the working pressure, the retention of the upper layer of mud and the self-weight of the filter material after being soaked in water, thus forming the distribution state of the upper and lower dense filter layers. suspended matter. The voids of the filter layer gradually become smaller along the direction of water flow, forming a void distribution structure that is more in line with the ideal filter material from top to bottom. Therefore, it has the advantages of high efficiency, fast filtration speed, large amount of mud interception, good filtration effect, renewable, gas-water backwashing, etc. The amount of flushing water is 1-2% of the amount of filtered water. Suitable for filtration and fine filtration of various water quality.

The working principle of fiber ball filter:

1) High filtration rate. The filtration speed of fiber ball can reach 40m/h, while the filtration speed of sand filter is only 8-10m/h.

2) The quality of the effluent is good. When the filtration speed is 20-40m/h, the domestic fiber ball can reduce the effluent suspended solids from <20mg/l to 1.4-3mg/l, and the removal rate is about 85%. The effluent suspended matter of Japanese ball is about 3.2~3.4mg/l. The domestic fiber balls are filtered and contacted with the effluent of the oxidation tank, and the suspended solids are reduced from 20~80mg/l to ≤5mg/l.

3) The amount of interception is large. The effluent of the sedimentation tank is filtered, and the interception capacity of the fiber ball filter layer is 3~4.7kg/m2, which is 1.6~2.4 times that of the quartz sand filter layer; the effluent of the filtration contact oxidation tank, the interception capacity is 4.5~9.4kg/m2.

4) The circulating water production is large. When filtering the water from the sedimentation tank, the circulating water output of the fiber ball filtration is 360~700m³/㎡, which is 3.6~7 times that of the sand filter.

5) The amount of backwash water is small, accounting for about 2% of the filtered water, while the sand filter backwash water accounts for about 5% of the filtered water.
